The University of Palermo will participate in the project through its Interdepartmental Research Center on Technology Interaction, which deals with research activities about every aspect of technology-induced changes in ecosystems and the means to prevent all negative impacts due to the modification of ecosystems. The purpose of the center is the development of methodologies and the provision of applied scientific research services that fall within the problematic of the correct relationship between natural and artificial environments. In particular, the Center operates in the fields of biology, ecology, geology, plant and animal biodiversity, environmental chemistry, naturalistic engineering, landscape planning, etc.
